NSCAA to give briefing on teaching of safer heading on Capitol Hill

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America will lead an educational briefing on teaching safer heading in soccer with Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Florida), co-chair of the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force, at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. Tuesday.

The session will be held from 3-4 p.m. ET that day.

An educational briefing on teaching safe heading in soccer. NSCAA to present new instructional course on safe heading techniques, backed by recent brain injury research conducted by the University of Delaware Concussion Research Laboratory and other industry experts.

NSCAA CEO Lynn Berling-Manuel, NSCAA director of coaching education Ian Barker, University of Delaware Concussion Research Laboratory memeber Dr. Tom Kaminski, former U.S. Soccer secretary general Hank Steinbrecher, a former soccer coach and player, and Louise Waxler, executive director of McLean (Va.) Youth Soccer and past president of the NSCAA, will attend.
