Nor'Easters fall to Atlas in Open Cup

OCEAN CITY, N.J. -- Josh Trott scored two goals -- one in each half -- to lift Greek-American Atlas to a 2-0 second-round victory over the Ocean City Nor'easters in the Lamar Hunt/U.S. Open Cup Wednesday night.

The Cosmopolitan Soccer League team advanced to the third round, which will be played on May 28. The Greeks will play away against the winner of the Richmond Kickers (USL PRO), which defeated RVA FC (National Premier Soccer League) in the second round Wednesday night, 6-1.

Center back Tyler Botte helped key a Greek defense that stymied the Nor'easters.

Trott gave the visitors all the scoring they needed in the ninth minute as he beat goalkeeper Borja Angoitia, who was drawn out of position.

He added an insurance goal in the 47th minute.
