Tigres 3, Queretaro 1
Third-place Tigres (8-1-6, 25 pts) scored three times in the first half on their way to a 3-1 win over Queretaro (6-2-7, 20) Friday at Estadio La Corregidora.

Damian Alvares put Tigres on the board with a stunning long-distance blast in the ninth minute. Joffre Guerron headed home the game-winner in the 35th, and Damian Alvarez added the insurance goal in the 41st.

Kevin Gutierrez took one back for the Gallos Blancos in the 54th minute.

Veracruz 3, Pumas 3
Julio Furch and Eduardo Herrera exchanged braces as #2 Veracruz (6-7-2, 25 pts) and 11th-place Pumas (6-3-6, 21) battled to a 3-3 draw Friday at Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente.

Herrera gave Pumas a short-lived 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, chesting the ball down and pushing it over the goal line. Juan Albin equalized with a 22-yard free kick banked off the post just three minutes later, and Furch gave the Tiburones Rojos a 3-1 advantage with a 34th-minute penalty kick and goal off Fernando Meneses' assist in the 59th minute.

Herrera made it a one-goal game in the 79th minute, also from the penalty spot, and Ismael Sosa salvaged the point for UNAM off a set piece with nine minutes left on the clock.

Santos Laguna 1, Leones Negros 0
Andres Renteria scored the only goal Santos Laguna (6-3-6, 21 pts) needed to defeat Leones Negros (4-3-8, 15) 1-0 Friday at Estadio TSM Corona.

Jose Abella set the table for Renteria's game-winner with a pinpoint cross from the right flank.

Juan Luis Anangono had U de G's best chance to level the score, but missed the mark in a one-on-one chance against netminder Agustin Marchesin.

Chiapas 1, Cruz Azul 0
Chiapas (5-5-5, 20 pts) edged Cruz Azul 1-0 Saturday at Estadio Azul.

Emiliano Armenteros scored the only goal of the game, off a give-and-go with Matias Vuoso, in the 20th minute.

Jaguares goalkeeper Matute Garcia turned away a 70th-minute penalty kick by Roque Santa Cruz and slapped away a goal-bound 82nd-minute shot by Alemao to preserve the win.

The loss dropped La Maquina to ninth place at 6-4-5 (22).

Monterrey 1, Morelia 0
Monterrey (6-2-7, 20 pts) defeated Morelia 1-0 Saturday at Estadio Tecnologico.

Dorlan Pabon buried a 22-yard free kick for the game-winner in the 57th minute.

Last-place Monarcas (2-4-9, 10) finished the match with ten men after Carlos Adrian Morales was sent off in the 68th minute.

Pachuca 2, Puebla 1
Puebla (4-4-7, 16 pts) squandered an early lead, giving away two goals to fall 2-1 to eighth-place Pachuca (6-4-5, 22) Saturday at Estadio Hidalgo.

Luis Noriega's eighth-minute goal, off the rebound after Facundo Erpen's header hit the crossbar, gave La Franja a 1-0 lead that lasted through halftime. In the 47th minute, however, defender Mauricio Romero put the ball into his own net to tie the score. In the 78th minute, Romero committed a foul that sent Ariel Nahuelpan to the penalty spot for the game-winner.

Atlas 3, Leon 2
Enrique Perez scored in the 90th minute to lift fourth-place Atlas (7-4-4, 25 pts) over Leon 3-2 Saturday at Estadio Jalisco.

The teams traded goals throughout, starting with Jonathan Bottinelli's fourth-minute header for the Esmeraldas (3-4-8, 13 pts). Luis Caballero broke through the Leon defense to make the score 1-1 in the 15th, and Fernando Navarro restored Leon's slim advantage in the 21st, with a spectacular blast that glanced off the post and into the net.

The Zorros leveled the score in the 75th minute, with a penalty kick by Juan Pablo Rodriguez, before Perez snatched the win.

Both teams finished the match shorthanded. Atlas midfielder Walter Kannemann was the first to be sent off, in the 64th minute after collecting two yellow cards in under 60 seconds. Leon's Jonathan Bottinelli followed him off in the 84th.

Toluca 2, Tijuana 0
Wilder Guisao scored in the sixth minute to start #6 Toluca (6-5-4, 23 pts) on their way to a 2-0 win over fifth-place Tijuana Sunday at Estadio Nemesio Diez.

Guisao beat netminder Cirilo Saucedo from the upper right edge of the penalty area. Lucas Lobos added an insurance goal in the 88th minute, with an assist from Carlos Esquivel.

Xolos fall to 7-3-5 (24).

Chivas 1, America 1
First-place Chivas de Guadalajara (7-5-3, 26 pts) and Club America (6-5-4, 23) battled to a 1-1 draw in Sunday's El Clasico Nacional at Estadio Omnilife.

America took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute, on a 22-yard blast to the upper right corner by Paul Aguilar. Aldo De Nigris equalized for Chivas in the 63rd, maneuvering past Aguilar to put a shot past netminder Moises Munoz.
