Second half goal leads Lone Stars to 2-1 win

DREXEL HILL, Penn.--- Jerome Pourís 63rd minute goal gave Junior Lone Star FC a 2-1 win over the Clarkstown SC Eagles on Saturday.

Lone Star took a first half lead in the 40th minute. The Eagles had a corner which was cleared easily by Fatoma Turay who sent a through pass to Isaac Jardiah who sidestepped two defenders before swerving the ball in the top right corner of the net.

The Stars came out in the second half and thought they had taken a two goal lead when Seydou Ba had the ball in the back of the net in the 46th minute, just like the previous game against the Shock, but it was called back for offside.
Ten minutes later, the Eagles equalized from a corner kick. Adeleye came off his lines to clear the ball in the air but the ball landed at the feet of Bardic who volleyed into the back of the empty net to tie the score 1-1 for the Eagles in the 55th minute.

Eight minutes later after conceding the equalizer, the Stars were back in front when a cross from Amadou Sheriff on the right went through the hands of Andrew Tartara for Jerome Pour to have a simple tap-in for his second goal of the season in the 63rd minute

The Stars (2-0-0) will look to secure their third successive win of the 2014 season when they travel to East Stroudsburg, PA to play Pocono Snow SC on Wednesday, May 28th at 7:30pm.
