SONIC ADVANCES AGAIN
Head to second straight NPSL final four

BINGHAMTON, NY--- FC Lehigh Valley United Sonic advanced to their second straight NPSL Championship final four by defeating Binghamton FC 1-0 on Sunday.

The Sonic, defending 2012 NPSL National Champions, had been beaten twice this season by GBFC. This third match went in the Sonic favor, however, and now they are on their way to defend their champion title at next weekendís NPSL National semi-final match. This is Sonicís third trip in four years to the NPSL national semi-finals.

The first half ended in a scoreless tie with both teams unable to capitalize on some good scoring opportunities. The only goal of the game was scored in the 57th minute by Sonic reserve Lance Dotzman on a shot 12 yards out directly in front of the GBFC goal on a centering pass from Matt Baker. Gaolkeeper Charlie Sales posted his fifth shutout of the season.

GBFC finished the season with a 10-2-2 record and the NPSL Keystone Division title. Sonic (11-3) win their third Northeast Conference title in four years.
They will take on the Sonoma County Sol on Thursday with the semi-final to be played on Saturday July 27th.
The other semi-final will have RVa (Richmond) play host to the Erie Admirals.
