Temple men blanked by Bulls in season finale

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Temple men's team had a 278-minute shutout streak snapped as it fell, 1-0, to American Athletic Conference regular-season champions South Florida Saturday night.

The Owls (10-6-2 overall, 2-3-2 conference) outshot the Bulls, 11-8. Luiz Garza scored off a Nazeem Bartman-Ricardo Gomez combination in the 64th minute. The Owls’ Jorge Gomez Sanchez and Albert Moreno then produced shots on goal as Temple completed its second successive 10-win season, the seventh for coach David MacWilliams.
