SAINT JOSEPH'S HAWKS

November 7, 2016
WOMEN'S COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
St. Joseph's sophomore Dakota Mills

Saint Joseph’s Hawks sophomore forward Dakota Mills took the Atlantic 10 Conference by storm this season, and she also made a mark on the national scene.

Mills, the Philly Soccer News Women's Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 6, scored twice in a 5-2 win over George Mason in the A-10 tournament semifinals Friday, increasing her total to a school-record 18 goals. Mills, named to the all-tournament team as St. Joe’s reached the final (a 7-0 loss to Dayton), trailed only junior Laadi Issaka (Mississippi Valley State) on the NCAA Division 1 list among underclassmen before Saturday. Mills, who snapped teammate Emily Gingrich's 14-goal mark set last season, ranks fifth on the all-time St. Joe’s list with 28 career goals.
