SAINT JOSEPH'S HAWKS

October 31, 2016
WOMEN'S COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
St. Joe's sophomore striker Dakota Mills

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks have not lost since an Aug. 26 visit to Rutgers (1-0), compiling a 17-game unbeaten streak. And sophomore Dakota Mills has emerged as a scoring threat worthy of national attention, totaling 16 goals – tied for fourth in NCAA Division and first among underclassmen, along with Alexis Pelafas (Central Michigan) and Evelyne Viens (South Florida).

Mills, the Philly Soccer News Women's Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31, surpassed Ali Wean and teammate Emily Gingrich for the St. Joe’s record for goals, converting once (and providing an assist) in a snow-shortened victory over UMass (2-1) and twice against St. Bonaventure (2-0). Mills, with 29 career goals, ranks fifth on the Hawks’ all-time list.
