Penn Quaker women play Princeton to draw


PRINCETON, N.J. -- The University of Pennsylvania women's team improved its road unbeaten streak to seven games, holding Princeton to a 1-1 draw in both teamsí Ivy League finale Saturday night.

Penn (9-3-4 overall, 2-3-2 Ivy) finished with a 5-0-2 road record and the Class of 2017 went 2-0-2 in four years against the Tigers.

Princeton (10-4-3, 2-3-2) took the lead as Haley Chow toe-poked at the far post off a Jesse McDonough corner kick in the ninth minute. Freshman Emily Sands equalized on a spectacular 28th-minute goal. Sands took Sasha Stephens corner kick at the top of the penalty area and lofted a left-fooer into the upper right corner of the net for the her fourth goal of the season.
