Quaker women held to draw by Brown

The Penn women’s team extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-1 draw with Brown in an Ivy League match at Rhodes Field Saturday.

The Quakers (9-3-3 overall, 2-2-2 Ivy) surrendered a 54th-minute goal as Amanda Lane headed in a pass from Megan Grant, the first goal allowed by Penn in the run of play in a 1,262-minute span over the last 14 games. Penn, which has outscored opponents, 30-9, equalized as Allie Trzaska scored on a left-footer from near the top of the penalty area inside the right post off a corner kick.

Brown (8-2-5, 3-1-2) outshot the Quakers, 10-9.
