DRAGONS FALL
Patriots score early, roll to 3-1 win

Ernesto Marquez scored twice to lead George Mason to a 3-1 win over Drexel at Vidas Field on Tuesday.

Marquez scored in the second minute, on a free kick from the corner of the 18 yard box.

Drexel’s Taylor Brophy equalized in the 17th minute on a diving header off a cross from Skylar Olson.

The Patriots again took the lead in the 50th minute when Victor Freeman fought off a defender on the right side and rolled the ball into the net.

Marquez added his second of the game in the 90th minute as Victor Freeman broke away, dribbled into the box and dished off to Marquez for the score.

Tres Hefron made three saves for Drexel which falls to 5-9-1(1-6-1), while Sean Kelly only had to make on save for George Mason, which improves to 10-5-1 (5-3-1).
